    We are seeking candidates for the following positions to work on NYC School Construction Authority Projects in Queens, NY:

     

    Construction Project Officers, Superintendents, Inspectors, Office Engineers, Estimators, Document Control & Contract Control professionals.

     

    We offer day and night shifts.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    1. Construction Project Officer and Superintendent:
    • Manage agency relationships on project level 
    • Perform project design documents/constructability reviews 
    • Coordinate/Schedule project bidding activities 
    • Review proposed bidder lists and attend pre-bid meetings
    • Perform field supervision and ensure contractor compliance with project requirements at multiple locations
    • Mentor contractors and provide guidance ensuring successful performance of construction and project administrative activities

     

    1. Office Engineer:
    • Monitor and track project schedules and budgets
    • Interface with client and contractors
    • Coordinate and track all project plans
    • Assist Project Manager with change orders, RFI's, submittals and response letters to the contractors
    • Prepare and maintain project records including weekly and monthly project status reports. 
    • Provide concise, timely project reporting, prepare and issue meeting minutes, daily reports and all typical construction project documentation   

     

    1. Inspector:
    • Ensure specifications are followed with emphases on quality and safely
    • Perform field supervision and ensure contractor compliance with project requirements at multiple locations
    • Mentor contractors and provide guidance ensuring successful performance of construction and project activities

     

    1. Estimator/Constructability Reviewer:
    • Prepare independent project cost and change order estimates
    • Perform analysis of contractor bids
    • Conduct constructability and bid document reviews
    • Visit project locations to confirm project work scopes and field conditions 

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Candidates should have a degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on construction projects
    • Prior experience with government agency projects preferred. 
    • Familiarity with contractor mentor programs, K-12 school construction, educational buildings a plus
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • OSHA 10 Hour Certification
    • Valid NYS Driver’s License
