We are seeking candidates to operate our Call Center in support of Sandy-Affected Residential Community Recovery efforts on Long Island.   

Responsibilities

  • Answer hi-volume calls assisting homeowners during the recovery process
  • Brief applicants on all documentation required
  • Refer applicants to additional services
  • Prepare and process various types of correspondence, forms and reports
  • Compile and maintain records of all calls received 
  • Handle all administrative duties as needed  

     

 

Qualifications

  • 1 to 5 years of customer service and/or call center experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in social work, case management a+
  • Strong communication skills, with experience in diffusing conflict situations and escalating issues; comfort with high impact, ambiguous, and sensitive cases; and ability to establish rapport quickly
  • Must be able to handle sensitive issues and information with strict confidentiality
  • Must be willing and able to adopt high customer service standards and present a positive and professional demeanor to the public and to colleagues.
  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Excel and Word
