Our growth has created a need for Construction Resident Engineers preferably with buildings or railroad experience. We have positions in all 5 boroughs of NYC.

Responsibilities

The Construction Resident Engineer will assume complete responsibility for the supervision of the construction work and the related contract administrative requirements. Additionally, this position will oversee the work of all construction personnel, certify that the work meets the Client’s special and progress inspection requirements as they occur, schedule inspections with the Special Inspection Agency, and secure the approval of the Special Inspection Agency.

  • Monitoring Contract Cost and Schedule

Qualifications

  • Experience with parks department capital projects, building or railroad work is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • A valid New York State Professional Engineering license is preferred.
  • The Resident Engineer must have a minimum of a B.S. in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, with preferably 3 years’ experience in architectural-related projects, and three (3) years supervisory experience.
  • The Resident Engineer should possess a working knowledge of: shop drawing review, scheduling, permitting and inspection requirements, IE: DOB, DEP, utility, etc. and be able to apply that knowledge accordingly.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to overall team success.
