Due to our continued growth, we are seeking  a Vertical Transportation Inspector for a multi-billion dollar renovation/upgrade project in the Metropolitan area.

• Conduct acceptance level inspections of traction and hydraulic elevators escalators and moving walks
• Perform inspections of traction and hydraulic elevators (Periodic, Category 1 and Category 5), escalators, and moving walks (Periodic and Category 1)
• Prepare detailed inspection reports for all vertical transportation units  
• Follow construction codes and technical standards

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in diversified field vertical transportation inspections (elevator\escalator\moving walks\dumb waiter, vertical platform lifts, etc)
• Self-starter, organized, coordinating/scheduling own inspections, capable of simultaneously working on multiple projects (terminals, buildings, bridges, ports, etc)
• Must be able to prepare detailed inspection reports for all vertical transportation units
• Working knowledge of ASME 1, ASME A17.2, ASME A17.3, ASME A18.1, New York City Building Code including referenced standards
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel an
• Valid driver’s license is
• QEI Certification is a big plus
