We have an immediate need for Housing Relocation Specialists/Resident Case Managers for a high profile project in the five boroughs.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist Abatement Construction Manager with daily updates of performance metrics including support and coordination of systems and team members to ensure timely reporting
  • Personally contact to residents to request voluntary participation in the program
  • Assign move out dates and move back dates for residents
  • Ensure that the residential unit is full compliant with standards for return of residents to their homes
  • Coordinate with the outreach and relocation team for resident coordination, move-outs, temporary residential accommodations and return to their apartments
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures are tested and followed
  • Update various data sheets, systems, metrics and tracking systems
  • Establish, maintain and update schedule of residential outreach activities
  • Coordinate with hotels and other temporary residential resources so that  residents will have a safe and convenient location to live during the abatement
  • Other duties as assigned and or necessary for the successful removal of lead from residences

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience working with residents in government supported housing
  • Experience working with community outreach, case management, call center, polling and general interaction with the public is preferred
  • ability to work directly with the public, conveying information, answering questions, recording communications and interacting with a large team of project management professionals 
  • Residential construction experience is a plus
  • Residents of NYHCA are encouraged to apply
  • A four year bachelors degree from an accredited educational institution with an emphasis on environmental, construction, engineering or business operations or four years of applicable experience
  • Experience with residential construction especially related to abatement of lead in New York State and or New York City
  • Experience with working collaboratively with residents, building managers and superintendents, trades workers, abatement contractors, inspectors and consultant staff
