Our continued growth has created an immediate need for a Senior Electrical Superintendent located in Clinton, NY.

The client for this project is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall contract compliance via daily inspections.
  • Completion of Daily Field reports which tract weather, contractor activities, sub-contractors, visitors, field directives, and manpower.
  • Review project Change/Field Orders and review contractor proposals.
  • Review contractor As-Builts monthly to ensure they are updated.
  • Conduct onsite QA/QC activities such as 1st Delivery Inspections, Closure Inspections, Mock-Up Inspections, and Acceptance Testing.
  • Prepare and coordinate Pre-Activity meetings prior to significant scopes of work.
  • Perform a detailed comparison of the contract drawings, specifications, and approved product submittals to ensure conformance with the contract.
  • Monitoring of sub-contractor & supplier usage to ensure pre-approval before work starts.
  • Assist the contractor(s) with the coordination of activities on the construction site with the other trades and the facility.
  • Monitor workforce and performance against the work plan.
  • Coordinate facility training.
  • Ensure OSHA 10 cards are on file for each worker.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted standards of workmanship.
  • Offer recommendations to improve constructability.
  • Complete punchlists and track completion.
  • Coordination and scheduling with 3rd party specialty inspections (ie: asbestos abatement monitoring or steel inspection).
  • Perform additional duties as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

  • Minimum (8) years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects
  • Minimum (5) years of experience as a Superintendent on large scale, multi-contract building projects
  • Ability to develop/communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against that work plan, and be able to perform a detailed comparison of the design drawings against each other to ensure coordination between each of the various project trades
  • Strong communications skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Experience with Submittal Exchange and Bluebeam preferred
  • Experience in Institutional Construction preferred
