Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Construction Inspector for large roadway projects in Nassau County, LI.

• Reviews plans for new construction of and repairs to existing roads and road surfaces
• Provides oversight of concrete testing, including procurement of cylinders, slump, and air content field tests
• Maintains daily inspector reports and material quantity records
• Monitors construction schedule over the course of construction
• Verify that all deliveries have accurate tickets and are from approved suppliers
• Reviews accuracy of reported concrete and asphalt yields
• Issue notices to Contractor
• Records time and materials in cases of disputed work
• Lead discussions with homeowners to resolve their concerns
• Serves as a liaison between the municipal client, engineers, and contractors
• Examines road and utility repairs completed by the contractor or utility company for compliance with plans and specifications
• Ensures that building plans, materials, safety procedures, and other variables follow federal, state, and city codes
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Minimum 7 years of experience
• Extensive knowledge of construction principles and methods
• NICET Level III preferred for Asphalt, Concrete and Soil Testing
• Ability to conduct inspections and make professional assessments of work
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• NYS PE License is a plus
