We have an immediate need for Senior Environmental Engineer for our fast growing Edison, New Jersey Office. LiRo-Hill currently provides the opportunity for a hybrid/flex-hour work schedule.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients.  LiRo-Hill  is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of environmental engineering analysis and design tasks related to: planning, environmental site investigation (subsurface and hazardous materials), remediation design and remedial operations,  
  • Coordination and presentation of design submissions with clients and environmental regulatory agencies,
  • Perform and manage site investigations to observe and document existing conditions
  • Supervise the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications and coordinate with other disciplines as required to deliver quality engineering services
  • Complete and review planning documents, design calculations; assist in the preparation of bid packages, design drawings and technical specifications
  • Provide responses and solutions to technical and contractual issues during the projects
  • Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small site restorations to large scale new construction 
  • Engage with existing clients to expand our services and pursue new clients to support growth of the environmental business in the region
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals for environmental consulting services
  • Attend industry and business development functions as a representative of the firm
  • Mentor and develop junior engineering staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering or Science
  • 10+ years’ experience in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Consulting
  • NJ PE required
  • NJ LSRP is a plus
  • Ability to provide guidance to junior level engineers and scientists
  • Understanding and application of environmental regulations, hazardous materials handling and disposal requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
