We are seeking a qualified Construction Office Engineer for NYCDOT  Bridge Projects (NICET Level III or IV) located in Bronx and Brooklyn, NY

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients.  LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston, Needham, MA and Edison, NJ.

Responsibilities

Our Resident Engineer Inspection division has a need for on-site NICET Office Engineers for major NYCDOT  bridge projects.

  • Document control
  • Contractor payment processing
  • Change order processing
  • Maintain detailed project files/logs
  • Review daily inspector reports

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of highway and/or bridge office engineer experience.
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred
  • Recent NYCDOT and/or NYSDOT project experience required
  • NICET certification (Level III or IV) is a plus
  • NYCDDC experience will be considered
  • Extensive experience with MS Office Suite applications, particularly Word and Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experienced with on-line project management software
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Able to collaborate/coordinate with clients, designers, contractors, and field staff
  • Public agency experience a plus
  • Authorized to work in the United States and maintains current Driver’s License
  • Authorized to work in the United States and maintains current Driver’s License.

- We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment. 

- Compensation: Min: $100k - Max: $125k. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position.  Exact compensation will be determined based on the individual candidate's qualifications and location.
